I have been fighting with Charter since I have moved into my new apartment. Tonight I finally tracked down what the issue was with my account. I now just need to get them to fix the issue. Apparently, when I called in my move order, they created a new account for me, but never disconnected my old account. They did not disconnect my old service until the becoming of this month and have been charging me for service at both apartments.

All the payments that I have been sending in they had been applying to my old account. As a result, my new account has been overdue and they have now disconnected service twice.

The folks I was chatting with from Charter support today seemed helpful and they are trying to fix the issues, but of course, they don't have the rights to do that type of change. They filed the paperwork and said they should have a response in 2-3 days. I decided that chat was probably the best way to resolve this as I now have a transcript of today's communication instead of the shady notes they seen to keep in the account. Hopefully when I follow up on Friday I will have good news, but not seriously hopeful.
